CITIZEN DIPLOMACY
Two official Representatives from International Cities of Peace will give speeches on peace in Weifang, China on Aug.16 to 18, 2025. The diplomatic mission was requested by the civic leaders in Weifang, a City of Peace in Shandong Province with a population of 9 million people. It is a great honor and there will be live coverage on Regional and National television. The Weihsien Japanese Internment Camp held over 2000 American, Australian and other “alien foreigners”, including missionaries, businessmen and their families until they were liberated by six Americans and their interpreter two days before the Japanese surrender on August 17th, 1945. Great thanks to Ayo Ayoola-Amale and Darlene Doiron. What an opportunity for ALL countries to lay down their arms and negotiate an end to wars.
